Open an account in person at a branch
We’d love to see you in person. Visit your nearest BCU Bank branch to open an account for your child.

- Your child will need to be under 12 years of age.
- Please bring your child's birth certificate or an Australian passport in the child's name along with proof of legal guardianship.
- Parents or legal guardians will need to provide a driver licence or Australian passport in their own name.

Handy hint: If your child earns more interest than the limit set by the ATO, they'll need to pay tax. To avoid this, provide your child's tax file number if available.

The interest on a savings accounts is calculated on your daily balance and is credited to your account on the last day of every month. This means that every deposit you make throughout the month will earn interest from that day onwards.
Bonus interest, if applicable to your account, will also be calculated on your daily balance in line with the bonus interest conditions for your account.
You can deposit coins at most BCU branches, however some locations are cashless.
