We are only a few weeks into 2018, but we have already hit the ground running!

One of our first big events for 2018 is the bcu Coffs Tri, kicking off on March 3rd – 4th. For the 6th year running, bcu are again the main sponsor. We have supported the bcu Coffs Tri from the very beginning. Over the past 6 years the event has continued to grow and develop and we honestly could not be prouder to be a part of this incredible journey.

At bcu, our passionate staff are one of our greatest assets and the response we have seen among our team to the bcu Coffs Tri really highlights this! An impressive number of our staff have thrown their support behind the event, signing on to participate in either the Enticer or Standard Distance races.

Some bcu staff participants are no stranger to the world of lycra, fitness Apps and 5am training sessions and will be using the bcu Tri as a fitness goal.

For other participants’, early mornings are more about Long Blacks than long runs, but they have committed to having a go all the same and are keen to be a part of a fun, energetic local event.

Three of our staff members from the bcu Business Centre, based in Coffs Harbour, are joining forces to compete as formidable team. Luke, Drew and Daniel are competing together again as Team LDD, in the Standard Distance Team event.

Meet the guys from Team LDD!

The bcu Tri atmosphere is full of energy and it’s a great feeling taking part”.

Drew’s training schedule is intense! Following a 3 weeks on, 1 week off training schedule, Drew estimates he would ride an impressive 400-450km per week. With roughly 16 hours a week dedicated to training, Drew is “Thankful to have a family that are very understanding about my commitment to cycling”.
