Meeting at a place and time that suits you means you can focus on what's most important to you and your family. Grant Douglass, Mobile Lender

BCU Bank Lending Manager, Grant Douglass, is a family man who understands organising a home loan can be stressful – especially while juggling the kids.

That’s why he loves being a mobile lender, because he can help simplify the process for all borrowers and their families living in, or moving to, the Coffs Harbour region.

With more than 18 years’ experience in the banking industry, Grant can provide you the information you need to buy your first home, refinance your home loan or secure an investment property.

“Our lives are only getting busier, so having a mobile lender meet with you at a place and time that suits your schedule, including after hours or on weekends, means you can focus on the things that are most important to you and your family,” Grant said.

“I will work around you, and your busy lifestyle, to try and make the home loan process an easier and more enjoyable process.”

Grant moved to Coffs Harbour with this family in 1991 and decided the stunning mixture of country and coastal lifestyles was too good to give up.

He purchased a house, got married, had a baby, secured an investment property and has been a proud Coffs local for more than 25 years.

Grant joined BCU in 2004 as a relief cashier and, during his 18-year career, moved into various lending and management roles before becoming a mobile lender.

He spent five years developing and managing BCU’s first digital loans department, offering members home loans, personal loans and credit cards online and over the phone.

Grant believes BCU gives him the ability to provide a more personalised service to members.

“Being a smaller, member-owned bank, we have more agility and flexibility to move with the market and commit to being right by our members side,” Grant said.

“When we talk about interest rate rises, inflation and international economic impacts, it can be really confusing for the average person to understand.

“I’m really passionate about sharing the journey with my members, making the process easy, and helping them to achieve their goals, live their lives the way they want, and provide for their families.

“I take my member’s finance personally and treat their money as if it were my own.”
