Over the past week, bcu staff have witnessed the damage of the bushfires, with a number of bcu staff personally impacted themselves.
General Manager-bcu, Mike Ribbens said that bcu will be working closely with affected members to provide support wherever possible.
“It's devastating to see firsthand how intense these bushfires are. Our hearts go out to the families and those who have lost their lives, those who have been evacuated and those whose homes have been damaged and destroyed. As a long standing community-minded organisation, bcu will continue to provide support where we can."
bcu encourages affected members to contact them to discuss eligibility for bushfire relief assistance.
This includes:
- Assistance with home and personal loan repayments;
- Waiving early redemption costs for term deposits;
- Waiving establishment fees for personal loans.
