We’ve partnered with atmx to give you access to a growing network of fee-free ATMs across metropolitan, regional, and remote Australia.

With an atmx ATM, you can withdraw cash or check your account balance using your Visa Debit card, without paying a withdrawal fee.

To use an atmx ATM, you'll need your physical Visa Debit card and PIN.

How to withdraw cash at an atmx ATM

  • Insert your BCU Bank Visa Debit card and enter your PIN.

  • Choose Cash out from the menu.

  • Select the account linked to your card (you can choose from Cheque, Savings, or Credit*).

  • Select or enter the amount you’d like to withdraw.

  • Choose whether you’d like a receipt.

  • Take your cash, receipt (if requested), and card.

The amount you can withdraw will depend on your available balance, daily withdrawal limit, and the cash available at the ATM.

You can also use atmx ATMs to check your account balance.

Note: Cash withdrawals made using a credit card may be treated as a cash advance, so fees and charges may apply.

Frequently asked questions

Yes, cash withdrawals from an atmx ATM are free when you use your BCU Visa Debit card.

Yes, you'll need your physical Visa Debit card and PIN. Digital wallets and cardless withdrawals aren't available.

You can withdraw cash from eligible transaction accounts linked to your Visa Debit card.

No. Cash deposits at atmx ATMs aren’t available to BCU Bank customers.

If you need to deposit cash, you can do so at one of our branches or at participating Australia Post locations using Bank@Post.

You can withdraw up to your daily ATM withdrawal limit, if you have enough money available in your account. Individual ATMs may also have their own transaction or cash availability limits.

Yes. You can also make fee-free withdrawals at all major bank ATMs across Australia. While some other ATM operators may charge a fee, the ATM will tell you before completing the transaction and you can choose whether to continue.

To help avoid ATM fees, look for an atmx or major bank ATM whenever possible.
