It's easy to set up Pay&Save
Why round up your purchases?
Pay&Save is like the digital equivalent of tossing your loose change in a piggy bank. It works by rounding up your in-store purchases to the nearest $1, $5, or $10, and every dollar adds up! Because every time you buy something, you save a little bit too.
Let’s say your regular coffee order sets you back $5.50. There’s still 50c left over from that dollar, that you can easily round up and save. Do that every day for a week, and you've got $3.50 saved. Or $175 in a year. And all you’ve had to do is buy your daily coffee!
Now, let's picture a day's spending, but we'll round up to the nearest $5 instead:
You buy | It costs | Round up | You save |
---|---|---|---|
Morning coffee | $5.50 | $10.00 | $4.50 |
Lunch | $13.00 | $15.00 | $2.00 |
Fuel | $71.00 | $75.00 | $4.00 |
A 3pm vending machine pick-me-up | $3.50 | $5.00 | $1.50 |
Total transferred to your BCU Bank savings account | $12.00 |
If you're not quite ready to start rounding up to the nearest $5, consider rounding up to the nearest $1 instead. Even if you only save $2 a day with Pay&Save, that adds up to around $730 a year! Saving money doesn't get any easier than this.
Who should use Pay&Save?
If you’ve never been able to get good savings habits to stick, Pay&Save can help. Or even if you’re already smashing your savings goals, Pay&Save can also push them that little bit further. In short, Pay&Save is for everyone.
It's automatic, convenient, and you might even forget it’s working away in the background (until you see the boost in your savings account, that is). What more could you ask for?

Pay&Save is a feature that rounds up to the nearest dollar value of each purchase debited from the BCU Access Account using the account holder’s Visa Debit card or the information printed on it. Pay&Save will only operate where sufficient funds are held in the BCU Access Account to make the Pay&Save transaction. The round up will only occur if there is an available balance at the end of the day.
The eligible accounts for your savings round ups are the Bonus Saver and iSaver.
You can set up Pay&Save so that your rounded up savings go directly into the account of another BCU Bank customer – for example, a parent can pay from their account, and have the rounded-up amount transferred to their child's savings account.
Pay&Save is not available on two-to-sign accounts.
