As part of our ongoing commitment to strengthening our service and support, we are welcoming new leadership into the Chief Retail Banking Officer role.
P&N Group Managing Director and CEO, Andrew Hadley, has announced that Brendon Comrie has commenced in the role of Chief Retail Banking Officer, effective 1 September 2025.
The changes come as BCU Bank farewells Mark Smyth who has made the decision to leave our organisation to take on new challenges, after three years in the business. Mark’s contributions during his time at P&N Group have been many, including his previous leadership of BCU Bank in Queensland and New South Wales.
Brendon has been a highly valued member of the Group’s executive leadership team for the past seven years. Throughout his time with the organisation, he’s led the BCU Bank brand as a General Manager and most recently held the role of Chief Risk Officer. Having worked in banking for over 25 years, he brings diverse experience across a number of senior roles within global banks, regional banks and the mutual sector.
As Chief Retail Banking Officer, Brendon will lead the Retail Banking and Broker operations across both P&N Bank in Western Australia and BCU Bank in Queensland and New South Wales.
“Brendon is excited by the opportunity to transition back into a customer facing role,” Andrew said.
“Brendon previously acted as BCU’s General Manager prior to Mark’s appointment, and I have every confidence in Brendon’s ability to seamlessly switch into this role and immediately begin to add value for our customers and brokers.”
We recognise there have been some leadership changes recently. As a customer-owned bank, personal service remains at the heart of what we do. “I’m looking forward to leading with the same consistent purpose - to support our customers, deliver genuine value, and strengthen the local communities we serve,” said Brendon.
We look forward to this next chapter under Brendon’s leadership and thank our customers for their continued support.
