We want to alert our customers about a potential impersonation scam using AI-generated images of our CEO, Andrew Hadley, and fake emails that appear to come from him.
Our CEO will never contact you directly to ask for money, payment, or your account details. Please stay alert for scams that claim to come from senior leaders at BCU Bank.
Scammers are becoming more sophisticated, and their messages can look very real and convincing. If something doesn’t feel right, take a moment to stop and check before responding or engaging with the message.
If you think you’ve been targeted or may have fallen victim to a scam, please contact us immediately. We’ll act quickly to try to recover your funds, but it’s important to reach out as soon as possible.
A quick reminder: things we’ll never ask you to do
To help protect your accounts, please remember that we’ll never ask you to do any of the following – even if the request appears to come from our fraud or security teams:
- Tell us your internet banking password
- Share a security code sent by SMS, token, or the mobile app
- Download or install software so we can access your device
- Login to internet banking while using screen-sharing or remote access tool
If something doesn’t feel right, pause and reach out to us directly before taking any action. Your security is our top priority – and by staying alert you're helping protect our community from scams.
