- The Promotion Period for the Promotion is from 12.01am, 15 July 2025 AEST and closes at 11.59pm, 29 July 2025.
- There is one Prize for the Promotion. The Prize is A$1,000.
- To be an Eligible Participant in this Promotion you must:
a. be 18 years or older and living in Australia
b. follow @BCUBANKING on Instagram or already be following @BCUBANKING within the Promotion Period; and
c. comment on BCU Bank’s Home Loan Myth Busting competition promotional post within the Promotion Period
- Employees of the Promoter and their immediate families, and the Promoter’s contractors and agents associated with the Promotion are not eligible to participate in the Promotion.
- Eligible Participants may enter the Promotion only once.
- There is no fee for entry into the Promotion.
- A Prize Draw for the Promotion will take place at BCU Bank, Level 8, 100 Edward Street, Brisbane City QLD 4000 on Wednesday 30 July at 12.00pm AEST or as soon as practicable thereafter. The Prize Draw is not open to the public and will be observed by a senior manager of the Promoter.
- The Eligible Participant whose entry is the first valid entry randomly selected from all entries at the draw will be the Winner of the draw. We offer the Prize as a game of chance.
- There will be one Winner for the Promotion.
- The Winner will be notified by direct message (Instagram) within two business days of the Price Draw.
- To accept and redeem the Prize, the Winner must:
a. demonstrate that they comply with these terms and conditions;
b. following notification of their win, contact the Promoter by 5.00pm, 7 August 2025 AEST; and
c. comply with any electronic voucher redemption as required by BCU Bank.
- The Prize will be provided to the Winner by electronic transfer to the Australian bank account nominated by the Winner. If the Winner is not an existing customer of BCU Bank, the Winner may need to meet BCU Bank’s identification requirements before the Prize can be provided.
- The Promoter reserves the right to conduct a redraw if the Winner is unable to satisfy these Terms and Conditions or does not contact the Promoter by 5.00pm, 7 August 2025 AEST.
- The determination of valid participation is at the sole and exclusive discretion of the Promoter. The Promoter’s decision in relation to who is an Eligible Participant and whether an Eligible Participant can satisfy these Terms and Conditions is final, and no correspondence will be entered into except as provided by law or code and as accepted by the Promoter.
- The Promoter reserves the right to disqualify any Eligible Participant who tampers with the entry process.
- The Prize is not transferable, exchangeable, or redeemable for cash. The Promoter is not responsible for any variation in the value of the Prize between the Promotion Period and the date of redemption.
- If the Prize is unavailable, for whatever reason, the Promoter reserves the right to substitute the Prize for a Prize of equal or greater value, subject to State regulation. The Prize must be taken as stated and no compensation will be payable if the Winner is unable to use the Prize as stated.
- If for any reason this competition is not capable of being conducted by the Promoter as intended, whether because of computer virus, mobile phone failure, bugs, tampering, unauthorised intervention, fraud, technical failures, or any other cause beyond the reasonable control of the Promoter which in the Promoter’s opinion affects the administration of the competition, security, fairness or integrity, the Promoter may in its sole discretion, cancel, modify or suspend the competition, subject to the approval of any Government Department as may be required.
- This offer cannot be used in conjunction with any other offers made available by the Promoter.
- The Promoter and Instagram are not liable for any loss, cost, expense, damage, or liability (including tax liability) suffered or incurred by Eligible Participant or Winner in connection with this Promotion or the Prize (except to the extent of the fraud, negligence, or wilful misconduct of the Promoter (including that of its officers, employees, contractors, or agents). The Promoter make no representations or warranties as to the quality, suitability or merchantability or any goods or services offered as the Prize. Nothing under this clause limits any Eligible Participant or Winner’s rights under the Competition and Consumer Act 2010.
- The Winner agrees to:
a. participate and cooperate as required in all editorial activities relating to the Promotion, including but not limited to being interviewed and photographed; and
b. grant the Promotor a perpetual and non-exclusive licence to use such footage and photographs in all media worldwide, including online social networking sites; and
c. acknowledge and accept that the Winner will not be entitled to any fee for such use.
