Due to an exciting transformation and growth strategy, bcu are looking for a driven and motivated brand and marketing leader to join us in the newly created role of Manager, Brand and Marketing.  Working for bcu, a progressive customer-owned Bank based in NSW and QLD, you will be responsible for the strategic development and execution of the bcu brand and marketing strategy across all above the line and below the line marketing platforms and channels while leading a small team.  Reporting to the General Manager bcu, this role is integral in supporting the business to drive lending, deposit and membership growth through increasing brand awareness, consideration and usage while also being responsible for bcu community partnerships.

You will be responsible for…

  • The strategic development and execution of the bcu brand and marketing strategy across all marketing platforms and channels.
  • Drive the delivery of the brand strategy through brand and product campaigns to core market segments to drive business metrics including awareness, consideration, leads, membership and business growth targets.
  • Develop and implement member engagement strategies to deepen member relationships through optimising products per members, increase member engagement across member segments and optimise required income lines through driving desired behavioural change in members.
  • Develop and deepen bcu’s role within the community and aligning all partnerships to brand strategy which includes the rollout of the Member Value Proposition and align programs to member segments.
  • Be a proactive leader and work to continuously to develop the Brand and Marketing team which includes appropriate performance plan and KPI setting, coaching and driving cultural and values alignment.
  • Managing team planning, business planning, budget management, risk reporting and key third party contracts.

The ideal candidate will have the following experience, qualifications and character traits:

  • Exceptional organisation and communication skills
  • A graduate degree in marketing and / or business / commerce or similar
  • Have demonstrated experience in a similar role showing the ability to develop, execute brand strategy and understanding of marketing channels and platforms
  • Have the ability to be agile, and excel in a professional and collaborative environment
  • Have demonstrated experience managing a marketing team
