bcu are seeking an experienced Loan Processing Officer to join our Loan Processing team.

As a Loan Processing Officer you will primarily be responsible for tasks including validation of loan applications, settlements, loan funding, checking documentation and general loan processing.

This role will involve moving between various teams therefore you must be flexible with a willingness to help wherever required. This is an excellent opportunity to gain exposure to and training in various Loan Processing functions, providing a unique skill-set that will see you broaden your future career opportunities.

Your key duties could include...

  • Checking loan application details, loading loan applications into Lendfast, validating income, verifying conditions for loan approval
  • Checking returned signed documentation, ensuring compliance with policy and requesting missing information
  • Preparation of settlement instructions and discharge/release documents
  • Calculating interest adjustments and penalty charges
  • Booking and conducting settlements, loan drawdown
  • Drawdown of Progress Payments
  • Collaborating successfully with sales and assessment staff
  • Liaising with third parties

You will have loan processing or settlement experience with strong administration skills, meticulous attention to detail and compliance. In addition, you should have the ability to work effectively in a busy fast paced environment.  Whilst not essential, previous experience and knowledge of security documents and Landgate procedures will allow you to hit the ground running.
