bcu is seeking a Commercial Lending Analyst to support the team in Lismore with the purpose of expanding the commercial banking portfolio by ensuring the provision of exceptional service and financial solutions to customers .

Some of your key responsibilities will include:

  • Provide critical support in the management of the Commercial Portfolio by assisting Commercial Manager and Commercial Lenders.
  • Maintenance of required insurance and security schedules and required filing protocols.
  • Undertaking of schedule customer and account reviews
  • Assist in the action of accurate, timely and high quality credit proposals.
  • Accurately processing customers transactions where required.
  • Achieve growth and retention of customers for bcu by working with Commercial Manager and Commercial Lenders and to achieve service targets.
  • Promote bcu products and services that are appropriate for customer’s needs.
  • Escalate issues appropriately to management where events or actions are not being actioned as required within policy to ensure bcu risk profile and governance framework is not breached.
  • Comply with all relevant codes, legislation and bcu policies and procedures.

To be successful in the role you will:

  • Act as a first port of call for commercial customers and be accountable.
  • Have strong communication, organizational and interpersonal skills.
  • Be energetic, outgoing, highly motivated and goal orientated
  • Have a proven track record of working collaboratively with team members.
  • Have excellent customer service skills.
  • Proven ability to work independently with initiative and remain focused under pressure and with tight deadlines.
  • Have strong negotiation and problem solving skills.
  • ASIC Tier 2 Qualifications
  • Tertiary qualification in business, financial services, management, accounting (desirable)
  • Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite programs

The ideal candidate will have flexibility in work location and hours, hold a current Drivers Licence and have the ability and willingness to travel within bcu network and wider region as required.
