Introducing our CEO and General Manager bcu

We are excited to share that both our members and the regulator have approved the merger with P&N Bank. From 1st November, we will continue to operate under the bcu brand, as a Division of Police & Nurses Limited, with employees and stores continuing business-as-usual operations.

The organisation will be led by CEO Andrew Hadley (pictured below), who has worked in the customer-owned banking industry for almost 30 years.

Andrew Hadley

Andrew understands that many of our members have a strong connection to the heritage and history of bcu.

In the lead up to the merger vote, Andrew had the pleasure of attending several of the bcu Member Information Events, speaking with many bcu members, some of whom were founding members.

These conversations gave Andrew the opportunity to reassure our members of P&N’s commitment to the customer-owned model, continuing investment in NSW and South-East Queensland, our community focus, strong values and a shared vision for a stronger future together.

As we now transition into one organisation, many of the changes will take place in the back office. Over the course of the next 12 months, we will merge our systems and platforms to unlock economies of scale, so that we can continue to invest in better member products and services, and improve the member experience.

Mike Ribbens

Mike Ribbens (left) has been appointed to the role of General Manager bcu, and is based in Coffs Harbour, NSW. We are confident that Mike will do a great job on behalf of our members and staff. Mike is not only a very experienced banking executive, but he has a genuine interest in people, and will work very hard to ensure we continue to serve our members’ best interests.
