Eligibility requirements
To be eligible for the $1,500 rebate, you must:
- be currently employed within the 'Essential Services Group for BCU Bank'.
- have a Loan Value Ratio (LVR) of 80% or less.
- be applying for a new home loan of $250,000 or more, either for an owner-occupied or investment property. This rebate does not apply to internal refinancing, bridging loans, construction loans, or lines of credit.
Essential Services Group members include:
- NSW Police or QLD Police Service employee (including auxiliary).
- Nurse, including clinical, registered, and travel.
- Teacher, including specialist (e.g. language), Tafe, and University.
- Fire and Rescue NSW or QLD Fire and Emergency Services employee.
- Corrective Services employee (including auxiliary).
