Home Lender

bcu is looking to find a highly capable, energetic and motivated person to join our team of banking professionals as a Lender in based at our Port Macquarie Store and surrounding areas.

As a Lender you will identify and develop sources for new home loan business while looking holistically at member needs for appropriate cross sell opportunities, whilst adhering to company policy and procedure.


A little about us ...

Originally created in the early 1970’s, bcu was formed by a small group of business owners—predominately banana farmers on the NSW North Coast—to provide a local, realistic banking alternative to the big banks.

bcu has been the recipient of many prestigious awards in the last few years, highlighting our dedication to keeping our products relevant, our fees fair, and offering our Members the little extras that many of our competitors don’t. Some key responsibilities will include:

  • Business development to attract and maintain new & existing bcu clients and external business referrals
  • Financial Analysis of customer documentation to write and structure home loan applications
  • Managing the customer experience from application through to settlement
  • Building customer relationships and gaining an understanding of their holistic banking needs
  • Flexibility to travel within your network


To be successful for this role, you will need:

  • Exceptional presentation and communication skills
  • Proven history in meeting and exceeding sales and service targets/KPIs
  • Experience within the Home Lending market
  • Ability to analyse, assess and manage loan applications from enquiry through to settlement
  • Strong and extensive relationships and Business Development skills.
  • Strong understanding of banking products, services and procedures
  • Solid understanding and experience in credit procedures and policies
  • Ability to work independently and in a team
  • A desire to be an ambassador for our bcu brand
  • Tier 2 Accreditation (RG 146)
  • An unrestricted Drivers License


Tier 2 (RG146) qualification, or willingness to gain this qualification, is highly desirable.

Willingness to progress to personal lending would be looked upon favorably.
