Business Banker

bcu is a local Community Credit Union that is passionate about building strong business relationships along the Mid North Coast and surrounding areas. We are expanding our Commercial Division and have exciting new positions available for an experienced Business Banker to join our network on the Coffs Coast & surrounding areas.

As a Business Banker you will be responsible for managing an existing portfolio of bcu clients which consists of a range of trading businesses as well as business development activities sourcing new clients and business opportunities. With a focus on business development, you will also have the ability to develop strong referral sources, community links and new business partnerships for this portfolio.

This is a great opportunity for a relationship manager with SME and Commercial banking and lending experience to join our growing team.

You will be required to:

  • Manage a portfolio of new and existing bcu business members
  • Service client needs including a range of consumer and commercial products and lending options
  • Provide a holistic approach to understanding your members needs and provide beneficial solutions
  • Have an in depth understanding of the end to end loan process from interview through to settlement and everything in between.
  • Be confident in Business Development and proactive sourcing new business
  • Actively participate in community, networking and bcu promotional events

To be successful for this role, you will need to demonstrate:

  • Proven experience with business development and customer relationship management
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Hands on experience and knowledge of consumer and commercial lending products and services
  • Energetic, goal orientated and motivated to take the next step your Lending career
  • Tier 2 Accreditation or higher
  • High attention to detail
  • Skilled in evaluation and assessment of lending opportunities
  • Record of achieving KPIs/sales targets
  • Proven time management skills to meet strict deadlines.

As this role will involve travel, a motor vehicle allowance or tool of trade motor vehicle will form part of your remuneration package. The successful applicant must hold a current drivers licence.
