Branch Supervisor - Macksville

bcu has an exciting opportunity available for a Branch Supervisor to be the face of our Macksville Branch and lead a team of banking professionals.

The successful candidate will be confident in leading and motivating a team to achieve business goals and oversee the smooth operations of the store.

Some of your key responsibilities will include:

  • Working with your team and Management to ensure you and your store are profitable through the achievement of sales and service targets.
  • Providing financial services including general advice on relevant products and services to suit customer needs.
  • Running the day-to-day operations of the Store in accordance with policies and procedures
  • Providing exceptional customer service to our members and assisting with cash and non cash enquiries in a accurate and timely manner
  • Be confident in the end to end lending process from interview through to settlement
  • Actively participating in community networking and promotional events as required to build and maintain relationships with existing and potential customers, understanding their needs and providing tailored solutions.


To be successful for this role, you will need to demonstrate:

  • Highly developed interpersonal, communication and negotiation skills.
  • Previous banking / credit union, or building society experience
  • Demonstrated experience in home and personal lending (desirable)
  • Minimum competence is Tier 2 qualification as per Financial Services Reform Act or the willingness to obtain
  • Knowledge and understanding of the region and community.
  • Proven ability to tailor communications to promote, influence and speak persuasively.
  • Demonstrated ability to communicate ideas in a clear and precise manner.
  • Demonstrated ability to understand and achieve set KPI targets.
  • Ability to lead a team.


This position will suit someone who possesses strong communication and interpersonal skills, is capable of leading by example and has proven experience in meeting and exceeding KPI's. Previous experience in banking and financial services is mandatory for this role.
