Loyalty returns big bucks to BCU members

Our loyalty rebate program is one year old!

In late 2006 BCU launched its loyalty rebate program for members.

Under the scheme, all BCU members are entitled to rebates of up to 100% on many fees and charges depending on the value of their combined banking with BCU.

In its first year of operation, BCU’s loyalty rebate scheme returned a massive $675,000 to members from rebated fees and charges. This figure exceeded original expectations and shows how BCU personal and business members are taking advantage of the benefits of consolidating their banking with BCU.

The rebates operate on a sliding scale starting with 10% rebates for balances over $5000. You become eligible for the full 100% discount if you or your business has a loan of more than $250,000 or combined savings, investments and overdrafts to a total value of $280,000 or more.

‘The success of the scheme in its first twelve months has surprised even BCU,’ said Ray Battle, CEO, ‘It shows we are about providing members with value for money. It also shows that, as a community credit union, we really are serious about giving back to our members.’
