BCU in the Community

As a community credit union, BCU is committed to giving back to community, social and environmental issues.

In addition to numerous charities, sporting, school and community initiatives, the Board has established sub-committees in Education, Housing and Employment with the aim of working with strategic partners to further the economic development of regional communities.

Recent initiatives include:

Sponsorship of the BCU Neville Spear Chair of Aged Services at Southern Cross University.
Research into Affordable Housing with the aim of developing a pilot project to assist low-income workers.
BCU Bill Ussher Agricultural Scholarship to assist family run farms.
Sponsorship of an annual Benchmarking study on Sustainable Responsible Investment .
