The introduction of ATM Direct Charging will give BCU members the power of choice in deciding whether or not they are happy to pay the fees charged for transactions conducted at foreign ATMs.

There is no charge for BCU members using BCU or Coastline Credit Union ATMs for up to 20 transactions a month, and a special arrangement has been negotiated with Westpac which will see a cap placed on the foreign ATM fees charged to BCU members using these machines.

BCU is unable to predict what level of foreign ATM fees other financial institutions will charge as these costs are out of BCU’s control. However by withdrawing money using EFTPOS or by using a BCU, Coastline or Westpac ATM, members can ensure fees are kept to a minimum.
