Updated program makes security smootherBCU is providing members with a weapon against online fraud during iBANK transactions with the release of the new and improved TrustDefender Version 2.2.9 update. Available free for members to download, the latest version of this Australian-developed software addresses many of the problems encountered when BCU members first accessed TrustDefender in 2008. The version update came as the direct result of feedback from a BCU member survey. During the survey BCU members expressed concern over "pop-ups" and warnings which, although incorporated into the original software as an educational tool, were not appreciated by users of TrustDefender. Member feedback also indicated that very few TrustDefender users contacted the TrustDefender Help Desk when experiencing difficulties with the program - those who did, found that often a quick and simple solution was available to their problem. TrustDefender V 2.2.9 was released in February with an automatic update for current users who are reminded to install the new version. With growing concerns over online security, BCU recommends all members download this free PC software as an added tier of security during iBANK transactions.
