About BCU

Security Options

BCU is dedicated to keeping its member's personal and financial information secure while transacting online.

In addition to BCU having a high level of security via Firewalls, Anti-virus software, encryption and certification, BCU has idetified further measures to protect the information of its members. The following tools are for the home and/or office and provide protection for the only area BCU can't control... the home user's computer.

STokensecurity Tokens:

Internet banking fraud affects Australians every day.

With a BCU security token, you enjoy an additional layer of security when using iBank internet banking.

Tokens are simple and easy to use, and operate anywhere in Australia and overseas.

How do tokens work?

The token generates a unique one-time number every time you press the grey button. You use this number together with your iBank login name and password to access your online banking accounts.

Trustdefender

Launching July 1st!

Trustdefender (security software upgrade):

An Australian first in internet banking security ... and it’s FREE!

TrustDefender works alongside tokens and other security measures including anti-virus software, firewalls and more to add a ‘third layer’ of protection for registered BCU iBank users.

TrustDefender acts like a force field. Once activated, TrustDefender creates an encryption 'shield' that temporarily isolates the internet banking session between the member’s computer and BCU’s server, and enables members to conduct their internet banking with complete safety.
