About BCU

Friday, 23 July 2010 08:56

From the 16th August 2010, you may be contacted about suspicious circumstances occurring on your Visa Credit or Debit Card. This is done to ensure the transactions made are authorised by the cardholder and is aimed at providing you with the highest level of security possible.

If you are contacted, and advise that the transactions are not authorised, an immediate freeze will be placed on your card to protect you from further fraudulent activity and loss and a request will be made to BCU to order a replacement card.

If the Card Fraud Monitoring Service can not contact you by phone, and you have previously supplied BCU with your mobile phone number, they will send you an SMS and request that you contact them to confirm the transactions.

Please note that during these security checks you will never be asked for your Pin or Password and if you are ever requested to provide this information, you should cease the call and report the incident to BCU immediately.
