BCU to help fund strategic business planning workshops

Over late 2007 and early 2008, Dr Steve French from Business Strategy Corporation in Coffs Harbour is holding a series of two-day strategic planning workshops for north-coast small-business operators.

The workshops are jointly funded by the Australian Government under the ‘Sustainable Regions’ program and BCU, with support from SCU’s Centre for Enterprise Development and Research (CEDAR).

Designed for operators of established small businesses, the workshops have been developed from research conducted by Dr French which has achieved worldwide recognition for its innovation. Over two days, participants will acquire strategic analysis and practical management skills. Within a supportive workshop environment, business owners and managers will learn how to ask themselves the ‘right’ questions in order to solve their own business problems.

The first five weekend workshops will be held between July and November 2007 at Coffs Harbour (two workshops), Bellingen, Nambucca Heads and Macksville.

A further ten workshops will be held before July 2008 in major centres between the Clarence Valley and Kempsey.

The first of two workshops in Coffs Harbour on 28 and 29 July is filling fast. Places are limited so don’t miss out!
